PJH Flies Air Quality Flags to Protect Health

AQI flags

Students at Preston Junior High have joined the Enviromemtal Protection Agency's Air Quality Flag Program to help protect people's health. Each day, science students at Preston Junior High will raise a flag based on the air quality index to show how polluted the air is expected to be. The colors will help community members know what action to take to protect their health.

Green=Good Air Quality

Yellow=Moderate

Orange=Unhealthy for sensitive groups (children or people with asthma)

Red= Unhealthy air for everyone

Purple=Very Unhealthy (sensitive groups avoid all outdoor exertion, everyone else should limit outdoor exertion)
